Give the Gift of Relaxation to your Husband

Sometimes it isn’t easy choosing the right gift for a husband. There are so many things that you could give him, the possibilities are mind-boggling. But have you ever stopped to think that some of the greatest gifts of all don’t have to cost a lot of money and involve relaxation?

That’s right. Your husband deserves to be pampered.

Here are some ideas to help you give your husband the attention he needs:

–A gift certificate for a massage may be the thing to help your husband unwind. It’s probably a gift he would never think of getting for himself, and the results are not only relaxing, but beneficial to his overall health.

–Oriental therapy. Things like Chinese stress balls that date back to the Ming Dynasty are perfect for helping your husband to relieve some of the pressures of work and life. They help calm the body and the mind, and even help with carpal tunnel syndrome.

–Get with his flow. This means give him something that he’s passionate about, even if you aren’t, like a CD of jazz or tickets to a play. If he’s the outdoorsy type and thinks lawn care is a good way to unwind (and it is for some people), check out this page for information on mowers.

–Take him to a golf course. It can be a relaxing form of therapy for your husband, and a lot of fun. If he’s really busy, he probably puts this off, so make sure you take him so you can spend some time with him.

–Buy him a nice comfortable Tempur-Pedic Comfort Pillow or a nice mattress if he has back problems, or even if he doesn’t. Everyone needs quality sleep. What makes this kind of pillow and mattress different is that it conforms to the shape of one’s body, providing support wherever needed. This is a gift you’ll get to enjoy too.

–Another good idea for helping your husband relax is a gift membership to the local Y or other gym. There, he can take advantage of the pool, weights, aerobics, walking, hot tub, or any of the other ways to tone the body and take a load off of one’s mind. Everyone knows that exercise is a good stress reducer.

–Take him to a concert. Even if you don’t care for his kind of music, or even if you do, it’s a good way to relax and spend time together.

–Take him fishing or boating. If he loves the water but hasn’t been in it for a while, now is the perfect time for him to catch up.
